May 19 – From Analysis to Action: Analysis to Action – Putting Race at the Center

David Mosenkis, Graie Hagans and I will be presenting a paper reflecting on our work with POWER on full and fair funding for public schools in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania. Building on Mosenkis’ outstanding statistical work on how racism plays a a major role in how public schools are funded in the state, we then discuss the efforts of POWER to address and confront the state with its responsibility to provide adequate education funding for all of the state’s children
